Mindfulness & Wellness
There are hundreds of mindfulness and wellness techniques that can be applied in support of increasing emotional regulation. I can help you build your toolbox of strategies for calming your nervous system and finding embodied grounding.
Why I use these methods
Gottman Method
I appreciate the in-depth research behind Gottman Method Couples Therapy. For example, Dr. John Gottman’s research "indicates that 69% of relationship conflicts are 'perpetual problems" rooted in fundamental differences in personality, values, or lifestyle. These issues, such as cleaning habits or finances, are rarely solved but rather managed through humor, acceptance, and dialogue, preventing them from becoming gridlocked, toxic, or leading to divorce."
Additionally, the Gottman Method emphasizes the importance of deeply understanding your partner and practicing kind behaviors. The Gottman Method can be integrated with many other modalities, such as EFT.

TEAM-CBT
TEAM-CBT prioritizes deep empathic understanding and sets a very high bar for therapists. T in TEAM is for testing, which includes ongoing assessment of how well the therapist is doing. I appreciate how this model is highly strengths-based and integrative. The M in TEAM is for methods, and effective methods from any therapeutic modality can be integrated into methods.
